na khalvadyaiva saumitre jīvitaṃ jāhnavījale | tyajeyaṃ rājavaṃśastu bharturme parihāsyate ||
English Scholarly Translation
O Saumitri, I shall just renounce my life in the waters of Jāhnavi? But I desist from this for it shall bring about the termination O my husband's race.
