ज्ञायतां सौम्य वैदेही यदि जीवति वा न वा । स च देशो महाप्राज्ञ यस्मिन्वसति रावणः ॥
Roman Transliteration (IAST)
jñāyatāṃ saumya vaidehī yadi jīvati vā na vā | sa ca deśo mahāprājña yasminvasati rāvaṇaḥ ||
English Scholarly Translation
O placid one, do you learn whether Videha's daughter is alive or not; as well as ascertain the country, where, O you endowed with eminent wisdom,.liveth Ravana.
