न ध्रुवं सुखमस्तीह कुतो राज्यं कुतो यशः । इह कीर्तिर्विधातव्या सा च युद्धेन नान्यथा ॥
English Scholarly Translation
Indeed, there is no happiness on this earth. What becomes of kingdom and what of good name? Fame is all that one should acquire here. That fame can be acquired by battle and by no other means.
