मानुषं कुर्वतः कर्म यदि दैवान्न सिध्यति । स पथः प्रच्युतो धर्म्याद्विपदं प्रतिपद्यते ॥
English Scholarly Translation
If any action of a man that is undertaken becomes unsuccessful through destiny, the actor becomes like one who deviating from the path of virtue is lost in the wilderness of sin.
