असकृत्तस्य देवास्तु व्रतविघ्नं प्रचक्रिरे । न चास्य नियमाद्बुद्धिरपयाति महात्मनः ॥
English Scholarly Translation
The celestials repeatedly attempted for obstructing the observance of his vows. He, however, did not desist from practising his promised vow.
