निहते मामके सैन्ये निःशेषे शिबिरे कृते । पाण्डवानां बलं सूत किं नु शेषमभूत्तदा । एतन्मे पृच्छतो ब्रूहि कुशलो ह्यसि संजय ॥
English Scholarly Translation
Dhritarashtra said When my soldiers were killed and our camp made entirely empty, what was the strength. O Suta, of the remnant the Pandavas army? 1 desire of know this. Therefore, tell me O Sanjaya, for you are a skillful narrator.
