स तस्य चिच्छेद शरं शिखण्डी; त्रिभिस्त्रिभिश्च प्रतुतोद कर्णम् । शिखण्डिनः कार्मुकं स ध्वजं च; च्छित्त्वा शराभ्यामहनत्सुजातम् ॥
English Scholarly Translation
as But Shikhandin severed that arrow with three shafts and with three other distressed Karna; then the wrathful son of Suta with two razor-like shafts struck off the bows, arrows and banners of Shikhandi.
