कुरूणामपि सर्वेषां कर्णः शत्रुनिषूदनः । शर्म वर्म प्रतिष्ठा च जीविताशा च संजय ॥
English Scholarly Translation
O Sanjaya, did the son of Radha, that scorcher of foes, keep his vow and did he discharge himself accordingly towards the (hostile) troops? (In fact), he was the bestower of prosperity, the saviour, the refuge and the hopes of the Kurus.
