कपोतके नरः स्नात्वा अष्टावक्रे कृतोदकः । द्वादशाहं निराहारो नरमेधफलं लभेत् ॥
English Scholarly Translation
Bathing in Utpataka and then in Ashtavakra and offering oblations of water to the departed manes every day for twlve days successively, abstaining all the while from food, one acquires the merits of a Naramedha sacrifice.
