कथान्तरेऽथ कस्मिंश्चित्पृष्टोऽस्माभिर्द्विजोत्तमः । वेदार्थान्भारतार्थांश्च जन्म नारायणात्तथा ॥
English Scholarly Translation
Availing ourselves of an interval in the conversation, we asked that foremost of twiceborn ones to explain to us the meanings of the Vedas and of the Verses in the Mahabharata and describe to us the events as well of his own birth from Narayana.
