वैश्यः किल समुद्रान्ते प्रभूतधनधान्यवान् । यज्वा दानपतिः क्षान्तः स्वकर्मस्थोऽभवच्छुचिः ॥
English Scholarly Translation
There lived on the other side of the sea a Vaishya who rolled in wealth and corn. He performed yajnas, made liberal gifts, was quiet, observant of the duties of his own order and pure in habits and mind.
