न चेत्परित्रास्य इमाञ्जनान्भया;द्द्विषद्भिरेवं बलिभिः प्रपीडितान् । तथाभविष्यद्द्विषतां प्रमोदनं; यथा हतेष्वेष्विह नोऽरिषु त्वया ॥
English Scholarly Translation
O smiter of enemies, had you not protected those people from terror, who had greatly been oppressed by the most powerful foes, then there would have been immense gratification amongst the antagonists, even as there had been a great merriment amongst us on the slaughter of the enemies.
