Abstract

Abstract. This article examines the plant Peppermint (Mentha piperita) grown in the botanical garden of the International Medical University. Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is a perennial herbaceous plant, a hybrid of water mint and spearmint bred in England. It is not found in the wild in its pure form. Due to the high menthol content of its essential oil, it is used in folk and traditional medicine. In this article, we present the results of our own study covering the entire growing season of this plant. Peppermint seeds were grown into seedlings in a special room and transplanted into enriched soil with varying proportions of humus and soil.
