Numerical modelling of water hammer in pressure pipelines using the NUACEG and IMHUACEG software

<jats:p>This paper presents two computer programs in Bulgarian for the numerical analysis of water hammer in pressurised pipeline systems – NUACEG and IMHUACEG, developed by V. Tzatchkov and B. Tzankov [1]. The mathematical models, node- and segment-type systems, joint application methodology, and the recommended 8-step analysis procedure are described. Screenshots of the program interfaces illustrate data entry for a real pumping system – node types, pipe segment characteristics, including wave speed – and the interpretation of results: pressure envelope curves along a pipeline trajectory and transient pressure development H (t) in a selected node.</jats:p>
