Abstract
<jats:p>This article examines the linguistic persona of the prominent Turkologist István Kongur Mandoky through the lens of pragmatic and discursive analysis. The study explores his terminological preferences, the conceptual framework of his scholarly texts, methods of interpreting ethnolinguistic data, and communicative strategies. Particular attention is given to how Mandoky’s cognitive orientation and cultural worldview are reflected in his linguistic choices and academic discourse. The article highlights the significance of his pragmatic-linguistic approach and demonstrates his contribution to the development of Turkology and the study of the Cuman – Kipchak heritage.</jats:p>
