INTEGRATION OF SOCIALLY SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS OF HUMANITY INTO THE PROCESS OF TEACHING BIOLOGY AT SCHOOL

<jats:p>This article examines in detail the issues of integrating socially significant problems of humanity into school biology lessons. The article highlights the importance and relevance of issues such as environmental issues, human health, pandemics, climate change, nutrition and scientific ethics for teaching biology lessons. By introducing students to social problems, analyzing them and offering solutions, critical thinking, analytical and research skills, as well as environmental and social responsibility are formed. The paper discusses pedagogical methods and forms: project work, laboratory and practical work, case studies, field trips, virtual laboratories and electronic resources. Practical examples of integrating social issues are also provided: lesson topics, study assignments, and projects. In conclusion, the article demonstrates the pedagogical importance of developing environmental and social competence among students and turning biology lessons into relevant and practical subjects.</jats:p>
