HOKIMIYAT UCHUN KURASHNING ASAR QAHRAMONLARI HAYOTIGA VA SHAXSIYATIGA TA’SIRI (“HAMLET” VA “XALIL SULTON” ASARLARI MISOLIDA), THE IMPACT OF THE STRUGGLE FOR POWER ON THE LIVES AND PERSONALITIES OF THE CHARACTERS IN THE WORKS (“HAMLET” AND “KHALIL SULTAN”), ВЛИЯНИЕ БОРЬБЫ ЗА ВЛАСТЬ НА ЖИЗНЬ И ЛИЧНОСТЬ ГЕРОЕВ ПРОИЗВЕДЕНИЙ (“ГАМЛЕТ” И “ХАЛИЛ СУЛТАН”)

<jats:p>This article presents a comparative-typological analysis of how the struggle for power impacts the lives, worldviews, and personalities of the characters in William Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet and Usmon Azim’s drama Khalil Sultan. The study examines the influence of political and moral conflicts—as well as betrayal, mistrust, fear, loneliness, and psychological anguish—arising from the struggle for power on the destinies of the characters. The political struggle surrounding the Danish throne in Hamlet and the issue of power during the Timurid era in Khalil Sultan are analyzed as factors that fundamentally transform the characters’ personal lives and inner worlds. While the struggle for power intensifies Hamlet’s desire for justice, his doubt, and his inner turmoil, in the case of Khalil Sultan, the political situation brings to the fore the conflict between personal desires and historical-political responsibility.</jats:p>
