СТРОИТЕЛЬ ДУХОВНОГО МОСТА В РУССКУЮ АМЕРИКУ. К 185-ЛЕТИЮ НАЗНАЧЕНИЯ АРХИЕПИСКОПОМ КАМЧАТСКИМ, КУРИЛЬСКИМ И АЛЕУТСКИМ СВЯТИТЕЛЯ ИННОКЕНТИЯ МОСКОВСКОГО (ВЕНИАМИНОВА)

<jats:p>Святитель Иннокентий, канонизированный Русской ПравославнойЦерковью, стал ключевымпросветителемнародов Камчатки, Алеутских островов, Северной Америки, Якутии и Хабаровского края. Статья освещает жизненный путь этой выдающейся личности от поставления в сан и последующего назначения на Алеутские острова вплоть до возвращения в Москву на должность митрополита Московского. Рассматриваются годы жизни будущего святителя на островах Лисьи и Прибываловы, в Новоархангельске, деятельность в Санкт-Петербурге и Москве во время приездов для докладов Святейшему Синоду, участие в подписании Айгунского и Пекинского договоров и помощь генерал-губернатору Восточной Сибири Н.Н. Муравьеву-Амурскому в его работе. Изучается период управления митрополичьей кафедрой в Москве и последние годы жизни святителя. Делается вывод о важности роли данной исторической фигуры не только в жизни Русской Православной Церкви, но и всей Российской империи.</jats:p> <jats:p>Saint Innocent of Alaska, canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church, became a missionary for the peoples of Kamchatka, the Aleutian Islands, North America, Yakutia, and the Khabarovsk Territory. The article explores the life of this remarkable figure, from his ordination and subsequent appointment to the Aleutian Islands to his return to Moscow as Metropolitan of Moscow. The article examines the future saint’s years on the Lisiy and Pribylov Islands and in Novoarkhangelsk, his activities in St. Petersburg and Moscow during visits for report to the Holy Synod, his participation in the signing of the Aigun and Peking Treaties, and his assistance to N.N. Muravyov-Amursky, Governor-General of Eastern Siberia, in his work. It also examines his period as Metropolitan of Moscow and the final years of his life. It concludes that this historical figure played an important role not only in the life of the Russian Orthodox Church but also throughout the history of entire Russian Empire.</jats:p>
