<jats:p>Based on empirical research results, this article analyzes the level of personality self-actualization as a determining factor in the development of purposefulness and other volitional qualities in university students. The study utilized the methodologies of F. Kalina and N.E. Stambulova. The correlation analysis revealed that time orientation, personal autonomy, and cognitive needs act as primary psychological mechanisms driving purposefulness and practical activity among students.</jats:p>
