Abstract
<jats:p>This article examines the educational potential of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach in fostering critical thinking and mathematical competencies among preschool children. The study emphasizes the role of interdisciplinary learning environments in promoting logical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and the practical application of mathematical concepts. It argues that STEAM- based educational activities encourage curiosity, creativity, independent inquiry, and cognitive development while strengthening children's mathematical literacy. Furthermore, the paper provides practical recommendations for integrating innovative STEAM methodologies into preschool education to support the development of essential twenty-first-century competencies.</jats:p>
