CLINICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF NEUROPATHIC OCULAR PAIN AFTER KERATOREFRACTIVE SURGERY

<jats:p>&lt;p&gt;The article examines the clinical and morphological features of dry eye syndrome and neuropathic ocular pain after LASIK surgery. The study included 60 patients, or 120 eyes, divided into four groups according to clinical signs. Dry eye parameters, pain symptoms, and in vivo confocal microscopy findings were assessed. In the neuro­pathic pain groups, morphological changes in corneal nerve fibers and an increase in microneuromas were identified. The most pronounced changes were observed when dry eye syndrome was combined with neuropathic pain.&lt;/p&gt;</jats:p>
