<jats:p>The article develops a parallel corpus-based model for investigating Uzbek–English translations of short news items published on the official websites of higher education institutions. It proposes analyzing the relationship between source and translated texts at the levels of alignment, linguistic change, semantic outcome, pragmatic-discursive outcome, and institutional distribution.</jats:p>
