Abstract
This article presents the results of a small sociological study conducted to examine young people’s attitudes toward national values. It also analyzes youth perceptions of the national value system, their role in the process of value transformation, and issues of strengthening national identity in the context of globalization. Using survey, interview, and content analysis methods, the study explores young people’s attitudes toward customs, historical heritage, and cultural traditions. The findings indicate that under the influence of information technologies and mass culture, a synthesis of modern and traditional values is taking place in the minds of the youth. However, in some cases, indifference toward traditional values and an increase in individualism were also observed. The article provides recommendations for strengthening national identity among young people and fostering respect for cultural heritage.
