Abstract

<jats:p>The article explores the content of managerial activity in higher education institutions and examines the contemporary requirements imposed on academic leaders in the context of digital transformation and increasing complexity of the educational environment. The core functions of university leadership are analyzed, including strategic planning, organizational coordination, human resource management, and innovation management. Special attention is given to the transformation of managerial practices under the influence of digital technologies, particularly the shift toward data-driven decision-making and the development of new managerial competencies. The study also identifies key challenges affecting the effectiveness of leadership in higher education and outlines перспективные направления for further development and improvement.</jats:p>
