TILSHUNOSLIKDA INTENSIFIKASIYA SEMANTIKASI VA UNING METATILI XUSUSIDA, ON THE SEMANTICS OF INTENSIFICATION AND ITS METALANGUAGE IN LINGUISTICS, О СЕМАНТИКЕ ИНТЕНСИФИКАЦИИ И ЕЁ МЕТАЯЗЫКЕ В ЛИНГВИСТИКЕ

<jats:p>This article examines the semantic nature of intensification and its role within the linguistic system. Intensification is interpreted as a phenomenon directly related to the strengthening or deviation from the normative degree of actions, states, and qualities of objects and events in reality. The study argues that intensification represents a quantitative modification of quality and carries significant pragmatic and communicative value for both speakers and listeners. Furthermore, the article addresses the issue of developing a metalanguage for the description of intensification and the classification of linguistic units expressing intensification semantics. In particular, the use of such terms as phonointenseme, morphointenseme, lexointenseme, syntactointenseme, phraseointenseme, sentenceintenseme, and textointenseme is proposed and theoretically justified. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of intensification across different levels of language and provide a framework for improving its linguistic description.</jats:p>
