<jats:p>This article examines the expression of the solar calendar and year-counting system in Uzbek folk proverbs at the linguistic level and in the worldview of the people. The work analyzes the linguocognitive and semantic features of proverbs related to the seasons, months, the twelve-year zodiac and natural phenomena. As a result of observations, the role of lexical units related to the solar calendar in the paremiological system of the Uzbek language is highlighted.</jats:p>
