<jats:p>This article analyzes the scientific and theoretical foundations for organizing the compulsory school preparation stage in “New Generation” schools and preschool educational organizations, as well as in centers for the innovative development of children. The content of school preparation is examined from the perspective of contemporary pedagogical approaches. The study substantiates the importance of competency-based education, a developmental learning environment, innovative pedagogical technologies, and cooperation between educators and families.</jats:p>
