JANUBIY OROLBO‘YI HUDUDIDA SAKSOVUL KATTA BUKUR CHIGIRTKASINING TARQALISHI VA GAT ASOSIDA MONITORING QILISH

<jats:p>This article presents the results of a study on the distribution and monitoring of the large humpbacked saxaul locust found in saxaul agrophytocenoses of the Southern Aral Sea region. The research was conducted in the Muynak district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The coordinates of the pest’s habitats were determined using a GPS device, and electronic maps were created based on the ArcGIS Pro software. Monitoring results showed that the pest occurs more frequently in sandy areas with sparse vegetation cover. The use of GIS technologies proved to be of significant importance for identifying pest distribution foci, forecasting, and developing scientifically grounded control measures.  </jats:p>
