<jats:p>The distribution of the soybean root system within soil layers and the efficiency of its nutrient absorption were
studied. It was analyzed that soybean roots develop activerly primarily in the upper 0-30 sm soil layer, but also have the
ability to penetrate deeper layers and absorb water and minerals. The morphological features of the root system, the state of
symbiosis with nodule bacterial, and their role in nitrogen fixation are discussed separately.</jats:p>
