<jats:p>The article highlights the dependence of human energy supply on water and this is the importance of using underground water. The possibility of increasing energy supply based on improving the technical side of water intake is shown. The dependence of the degree of restoration of the operability of vertical drainage and irrigation wells on the method and means used is indicated.</jats:p>
