Abstract
Comparative law is a distinct discipline within the framework of legal sciences that studies, examines, and compares different legal systems in order to identify their similarities and differences, and to achieve a deeper understanding of the typology of contemporary legal systems worldwide. In addition, comparative law enables a deeper analysis of the legal principles and institutions of different states, providing a broad transnational perspective on the impact of legal systems and their influence on society. By comparatively studying legal solutions implemented in foreign countries, states are able to adapt and apply effective legal models suited to their own national context. In this regard, the role of comparative law is of particular importance for Mongolia, where ongoing legal reforms are closely linked to the need for improving and modernizing national legislation. Therefore, the comparative analysis of legal systems serves as an essential tool for enhancing, reforming, and modernizing national legislation, as well as for increasing the overall effectiveness of the legal system in line with contemporary requirements.
