<jats:p>In this work, the design features of heat-receiving panels (solar collectors) and the dynamic model of an active solar heating system equipped with a heat accumulator were analysed from the standpoint of scientific and energy efficiency. The aim is to determine the dynamic thermal properties of buildings by means of an appropriate mathematical model and to demonstrate the possibilities of energy saving together with the environmental and economic benefits.</jats:p>
