<jats:p>The rapid growth of aquaculture and fish farming production is one of the keys to food security, nutrition and availability of protein-rich foods in the world. The production of this sector is continuously growing worldwide. In Armenia, aquaculture and fish farming production has also experienced significant growth in the last two decades. Considering the recent developments in this sector in Armenia, as well as the fact that the last studies in the sector are about ten years old, this study addresses the developments in the aquaculture and fish farming production sector in the global economy and in Armenia.</jats:p>
