High-Flyer English

<jats:p>The “High-Flyer English” textbook is designed to deepen and systematize the English language knowledge of second-year undergraduate students in the International Law Faculty at MGIMO University, and it may also be useful for senior students at linguistic and non-linguistic universities, can be used as an autonomous course to improve grammatical skills, develop analytical reading skills, and form advanced communicative competencies at the Advanced (C1) level. The course material is divided into 10 thematic modules refl ecting modern social, cultural, and professional realities. Each module is based on authentic journalistic texts and an original interpretation of grammatical material, characterized by a systematic presentation and a practice-oriented approach. Additionally, there are exercises to practice the active vocabulary both from the main textbook and the manual’s texts, which allows students to be comprehensively prepared for intercultural communication in a professional environment. Special attention is paid to the formation and development of skills of reasoned speaking, thus making this manual an eff ective tool for preparing high-level specialists.</jats:p>
