Economic prospects for the development of Russian oil and gas projects in the Caspian region

<jats:p>The work deals with the development of Russian oil and gas projects in the Caspian region, taking into account the changing role of this region in the world energy sector. The implementation of the development of oil and gas projects were studied to identify advantages and disadvantages in the implementation of Russian projects. The comparative analysis of competing oil and gas projects in the countries of the Caspian region was carried out. The author determined the most promising and geostrategic projects that will contribute to the reorientation of the export of Russian energy resources from the Western energy markets to the East and South. Three scenarios of the development of oil and gas exports from the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea have been developed.</jats:p>
