Abstract
<jats:p>The coursebook serves as an introductory resource to study Korean. It is designed to familiarize beginner-level students with the modern South Korean variant of the Korean language, including its writing system, phonetics, basic grammar, and vocabulary. It also aims to develop fundamental speaking skills and the ability to translate sentences and mini-dialogues from Korean to Russian and vice versa. The coursebook presents innovative structure, extensive grammatical commentary, and a variety of exercises, both standardized and requiring creative input. It is suitable for use during the first semesters for language and non-language majors in universities, Korean language courses, and even for self-study. The instructional material, which is entirely original, is organized into 21 comprehensive lessons, each accompanied by extensive grammatical commentary, cultural information, and exercises. Each lesson also ends with a small glossary and a checklist for self-assessment of vocabulary and grammar.</jats:p>
