<jats:p> The article sets forth the basis of criminalistic characteristic of fraud in insur-ance industry, provides a classification of the crimes by subject. The issues addressed in the ar-ticle are provided in comparative-legal aspect, with the prospect of establishing the foundationsfor interstate cooperation of Russia and China to counteract crimes in sphere of insurance.</jats:p>
