Abstract

<jats:p>The presented article is devoted to the issues of teaching the subject “Number Systems”, which is one of the main disciplines taught in the “SABAH” groups of pedagogical higher education institutions. The brief content of the presentation prepared by students on the topic “Natural Numbers”, which is included in the program material of the subject, and the role of such presentations in the formation of students’ knowledge and skills in the direction of learning the subject are discussed, and the importance of such forms of presentation in conducting colloquiums is noted. The axiom system (the Peano axiom system) and some results obtained from it are explained, and the issues of introducing number systems in school mathematics in one form or another are considered.</jats:p>
