ДВЕ ИНДИЙСКИЕ МЕТАЛЛИЧЕСКИЕ СКУЛЬПТУРЫ XI–XII ВЕКОВ ИЗ СОБРАНИЯ ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОГО ЭРМИТАЖА: ВОПРОСЫ АТРИБУЦИИ, ИКОНОГРАФИИ И ПРОВЕНАНСА

<jats:p>В статье предпринято первое научное исследование двух индийских металлических скульптур из собрания Государственного Эрмитажа с изображением богини Дурги и джайнского тиртханкара Паршванатхи, случайно найденных в конце XIX в. на территории Самарской губернии. На основе архивных документов и опубликованных отчетов Императорской Археологической комиссии рассматриваются обстоятельства их обнаружения и поступления в музей. Впервые проводится научная атрибуция скульптур, затрагиваются вопросы их иконографии и датировки. Памятники сопоставляются с другими находками индийской религиозной скульптуры на территории России и Средней Азии. Делается вывод о возможной циркуляции индийских культовых образов по торговым путям Евразии в XI–XII вв.</jats:p> <jats:p>The article presents the first scholarly study of two Indian metal sculptures from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum depicting the goddess Durga and the Jain Tirthankara Parshvanatha, accidentally unearthed in the late nineteenth century in the territory of Samara Province. Based on archival documents and published reports of the Imperial Archaeological Commission and early publications, the circumstances of their discovery and acquisition by the museum are examined. A scholarly attribution of the sculptures is undertaken for the first time, addressing issues of iconography and dating. The objects are compared with other finds of Indian religious sculpture from the territory of Russia and Central Asia. The article concludes by suggesting the possible circulation of Indian cult images along Eurasian trade routes in the 11th–12th centuries.</jats:p>
