Abstract
This article analyzes the impact of institutions and economic constraints on the qualitative and quantitative performance of education in Nigeria basing on academic literature, government reports, and international data,. It examines the institutional (managerial, political, regulatory) and economic (financing, accessibility, resources) barriers hindering the development of the country’s education market. A dual approach is proposed, based on strengthening institutions and economic potential to create a competitive education market that meets public needs and stimulates national development.
