<jats:p>This article examines how Generation Z in Uzbekistan perceives and produces creolized media content. Drawing on a stimulus-based reception survey and a creation-practices questionnaire, it analyses understanding, trust, and emotional response to polycode stimuli, and maps produsage behaviour along a curation–remix–creation spectrum. Findings show that standardized visual codes accelerate comprehension while multilingual density lowers it; trust depends on source transparency rather than format; and creative output is dominated by template imitation and remix rather than original authorship, with a persistent gap between consumption and production intensity.</jats:p>
