<jats:p>This article examines the outward flow of foreign direct investment, primarily through enterprises with foreign investment. To this end, the development dynamics of Uzbek enterprises with foreign investment in Central Asian countries, as well as enterprises with foreign investment from the region's countries in the Uzbek market, are examined. A comparative analysis is conducted, identifying the main motives and key areas for outward investment. It is concluded that, in the context of globalization, countries strive not only to exploit the availability of certain factors and the lack of others to establish exports (imports) of certain goods and services, but also to export abundant factors of production and import those that are lacking, including foreign direct investment (FDI). By analyzing the theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and practical practices specific to Uzbekistan, this article provides insight into how improved FDI management can effectively promote economic growth and sustainable development in the country.</jats:p>
