Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify current models of engagement of individuals with acquired musculoskeletal impairments resulting from combat-related injuries in systematic participation in adaptive sports, based on a theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature. Research methods: the method of analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, regulatory legal acts at the federal and regional levels, and Internet sources. Research results and conclusions. During the study, the main organizational models for engaging individuals with acquired musculoskeletal impairments in adaptive sports were identified. It was concluded that a methodological substitution of the concept of “engagement” is present, which masks the absence of pedagogical conditions necessary for fostering a sustained motivation for systematic participation. This substitution renders objective evaluation of long-term effectiveness impossible without the implementation of longitudinal studies.
