Abstract

<jats:p>The purpose of the article is to present the experience of introducing “military leadership” in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and the ways of further development. Any knowledge, including advanced training, that a serviceman receives during his service, is included in his professional training program. Military leaders guide by their character traits, personal example and always acted as pioneers through their activities aimed at continuous training, development and professional growth. They achieve perfection when their subordinates complete their military duty in a disciplined manner, perform the tasks assigned to them, and are guided by existing military values and traditions. The phrase “military leader” can be understood in two ways. Firstly, when we mean the leader, in general, as the worldview, the value system, the self-esteem of the subject of leadership (military collective), the internal understanding of their own activities. Secondly, leadership itself is considered as a certain social activity, a type of interpersonal communication.</jats:p>
