<jats:p>The main objective of this article is to evaluate and analyze labor demand in Armenia based on educational levels and administrative divisions. The primary data source for the study is extensive fieldwork involving 7,270 organizations from various sectors. The research revealed that, according to field data, 47.4% of employees in these organizations have higher or postgraduate education, compared to 32.6% according to official statistics. A similar disparity was noted in the demand for vocational education: field data show a rate of 26.5%, while official statistics indicate 19.9%. Regional differences are also significant: the majority of highly qualified labor is concentrated in Yerevan, whereas in regions such as Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik, there is a higher proportion of workers with lower educational levels. The article also estimates the additional labor demand as of July 2024, identifying a need for 17,589 workers, 69.2% of whom are required in Yerevan. The key findings highlight chronic imbalances in the labor market, manifesting across various qualification levels. In this context, the importance of workforce development programs, alignment between educational systems and market demands, and the implementation of specific policies to address regional disparities is underscored. Additionally, the necessity for skill development and the alignment of educational qualifications with market requirements is critical for strengthening Armenia's economic competitiveness.</jats:p>
