<jats:p>Omissions and are inevitable as a result of the transformations that occur during the translation process. In some cases their use may be unjustified and the translator's task becomes to add or omit a word or phrase when it is unavoidable or done for a specific purpose. In conclusion the translator trying to get closer to the original text in the Armenian translation of the novel "The Favorite" sometimes made unnecessary additions, perhaps because without them the context of the translation may be unclear. That is why there are more additions than omissions in the Armenian translation of the novel.</jats:p>
