INTRODUCTION TO MACHINE LEARNING

<jats:p>Machine Learning (ML) is an important branch of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that enables systems to learn from data and make predictions or decisions automatically. This chapter explains the relationship between AI, ML, and Deep Learning and discusses the major types of Machine Learning: Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, and Reinforcement Learning. It highlights their working principles, advantages, limitations, and practical applications. The chapter also describes real-world applications of ML in healthcare, education, finance, cybersecurity, agriculture, and transportation. Additionally, it explains the Machine Learning lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and maintenance of ML systems.</jats:p>
