Abstract

In view of the ecological (climate) crisis, the threat of nuclear war, the crisis of democracy, populism, migration pressure and social division caused by economic and social inequality, society is faced with the question: What values and principles do we need for a socio-ecological, sustainable and solidarity-based practice? This draft is based on Karl-Otto Apel's discourse and responsibility ethics, which offers a model for the transformation of our society. In this way, a normative orientation of solidarity-based responsibility ethics is developed for the future. Causes, dynamics and possible solutions are discussed by linking philosophy, psychotherapy, social sciences and economics.
