Abstract
<p> This introduction to questions of justification and application aims to establish a clear Christian position in the ethical discourse on AI. A Christian value compass is presented as a criterion for ethical acceptability. It can be used to classify ideological technological dreams such as transhumanism in the West and visions of superiority in the Far East (China, Japan). Fields of application such as nursing, administration, the military, and the church are then discussed. The book uses Christian social ethics to articulate positions on a pressing issue for the future. The author Elmar Nass holds the Chair of Christian Social Sciences in Cologne and has been researching a systematic approach to Christian ethics for AI application and digitalization for many years. </p>
