Abstract
<jats:p>SUMMARY The article examines the linguistic and structural characteristics of the genre of artistic documentation in Armenian literature. The author traces the historical development of the genre from medieval colophons and travelogues to the 19th—20th century memoirs and diaries. The study highlights the synthesis of factual and aesthetic elements, where the author acts not only as a witness but also as an interpreter of reality. Key theoretical concepts such as chronotope, archetypes, and psycholinguistic foundations of autobiographical prose are analyzed. Special attention is given to the structural role of letters and the artistic techniques used in creating literary portraits based on subjective perception. The author concludes that artistic documentation serves as a vital link between the past and the present, ensuring the preservation of cultural values.</jats:p>
